NOS

Breaking down the news using
clear visual storytelling

Client

NOS (Dutch Broadcasting Foundation) is the leading public news broadcaster of The Netherlands. Their NOS op 3 channel explains current events through visual storytelling on YouTube and social media.

Project

As a motion designer, I worked on a wide range of topics and formats for their online channels — explaining the news through on-screen animations, infographics, maps and other visuals that supported and interacted with the journalist’s storytelling.

Creative direction was also a key part of the role, working closely as part of a team with journalists to ensure each video had a clear visual narrative and cohesive look — where live action footage and motion graphics seamlessly came together.

Creating a cohesive story

Each video was the result of close collaboration between motion design, journalists and the camera crew — working as a team to shape a clear and consistent visual story.

From script to screen, creative direction plays a key role in aligning the content, footage and graphics into a unified and engaging narrative.
